Oct 14 2 weeks to blast off

Just sitting and waiting now have another 2 weeks to go before last dr appt> I think I have everything done now that I can get done to the trailer.

Day 3 here at the New Salem Park. We did another walk through and took more photos.

As you can see I have changed the name of ou blog I think what we are doing is more like camping 365 days a year



Here we are at Lincolns New Salem historic site this weekend is the candle light parade should be lots of people here.

This is a great campground however the only hookup is electric but there is water on site for you to put in your tank and a dump station when you leave.

Finally done

We are finally done house sold, trailer loaded. We will be going on our first trip next wed. only for four days then back here for a couple of weeks then gone for a couple more weeks. then we will head to Alabama for 4 months. Here is a picture of the trailer we bought.

May 27

So far our home has been shown 10 times with 1 offer although it wasn't enough. Still trying to get things organized so when the day comes it will be easier. I never knew an old man could get so excited about going on the road.

Lookers

May 20th
Today we had our first lookers at our home I would be really surprised if it sold the first week then I would really have to scamble to get things done. Going to look at motor home monday.

What to do next

May 19
So far I have found out one thing trying to figure out what to do next can be a difficult thing to do. There are so many. I don't know how long it will take to sell our home, but we have so many things to get rid of. Don't know whether to start having sales now or wait and try to do it all at once. The only problem is we will probally only have 30 days after home is sold to get everything else done that's not much time.

Here we go

May 17, 2010 today we put our home on the market so I guess it is really going to happen. We have talked about it for a while now but Granddaughter kept being the hold up. But she graduates next year then of to other things and does not have as much time for Grandma as she did. I retired last year and have been just working part time to keep busy. My wife works part time also. We live in Illinois now and what we really wanted to get away from were the winters here. So we have decided to sell everything, buy a motorhome and go south for the winter and return here in the spring, and go to Washington state for awhile in the summer to visit another son. The good thing we have going is that we have been in bussiness together and have been with each other 27\7 for quite a while so that won't be a problem.
